Leija has mixed feelings about the place. Somewhere in the community, she was held captive as a child by an unknown perpetrator.

But it's also where she finally found a home - with the now-retired police chief, Valter. When Leija returns, it doesn't take long before a young girl goes missing.

As Valter and Leija begin to investigate the disappearance, Leija is also forced to confront her own deepest darkness - a place she's long tried to keep buried. It will soon become clear that the entire community is hiding secrets.
